LA PLAZA BONES AND ARTIFACTS DUG UP THEN REBURIED
A find that includes the remains of a still-unidentified Native American people and also a Catholic church cemetery maintains its presence as a source of pain for many member of the community as plans to rebury the remains remain unsatisfactory to many. The reburial started last week at the garden of the $27 million La Plaza de Cultura Y Artes, and officials claim to have documented everything in such a manner that respects may still be paid despite the circumstances.
“We’ve reached out to all the communities who are connected to the cemetery,” he said. “That includes the Catholic Church, the Native Americans and Los Pobladores to ask for their participation in re-interment.”
