Europe is known for a bicycle culture that transcends America’s by leaps and bounds, though this documentary on Brussels shows a biking infrastructure incorporated into the city worse than that of American congestion- and sprawl-affected cities like Los Angeles. This wonderful mini-doc on the city and a bicycle messenger making his way about it lays out a system that sees only 4% of its commute happening on bikes while other Flemish cities see as much as 30%. Brussels Express is a greatly composed and scored short film about a topic that should be more recognized as we move into a more congested future.
