CAPTURING THE HUMANS OF NEW YORK
Brandon Stanton is an artist who skipped all of the formalities that it often takes to be recognized as a professional artist nowadays. Coming from Georgia and working as a bond trader in Chicago, the 28-yr-old soon found himself on the streets of the Big Apple photographing interesting-looking people, after a layoff during the recession.
His addiction to risk-taking found him running the overly interesting street portraiture blog Humans of New York. In a city known for its cold disposition, Stanton’s bubbling charisma and hearty laugh make for a great watch and an even better blog. Says he:
I enjoy taking risks, whether it be trading bonds or moving to New York and stopping strangers on the street.
