BARBARA KRUGER “BELIEF+DOUBT” INSTALLATION AT HIRSHHORN MUSEUM IN DC
Artist Barbara Kruger recently took to the power of the pen with her new installation at Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C. The piece, titled “Belief + Doubt,” transforms the Lower Lobby and bookstore into an overwhelming amalgam of conflicting textual symbols. Faith and power structure are two concepts under attack in the photomontage artist’s large-scale vinyl decal installation, which “introduces doubt” into the hearts of those who blindly follow their “democratic” society’s leaders.
