AMERICANA - SHEPARD FAIREY & NEIL YOUNG CLOSING IN LOS ANGELES FRIDAY
Closing this coming Friday is the much-hyped exhibition and collaboration by world-renown street artist Shepard Fairey and legendary musician Neil Young. Shep has long claimed music to be a primary interest and inspiration in his work, and Neil Young is one of those who has long affected the stenciled work and propaganda of the world’s favorite illegal art celebrity. American culture is heavily factored into the visuals of the work, some of which are based on lyrics or visual interpretations from Young’s extensive catalog, including some from his upcoming album Crazy Horse.
The work is only on display until September 7th, so make sure to stop by Perry Rubenstein Gallery soon if you plan to check it out. Details below.
